TAP Talks engages future educators

The second annual TAP Talks event is a collaboration with Augusta University and is designed to engage students who are currently enrolled in the teaching as a profession pathway through their high school, and inspire them to pursue a profession in education.

All CCSD high schools named 2024 AP Honor Schools

The recognition is based on eight categories from the results of each schools’ 2023 AP courses and exams. All five high schools are recognized for achievement in at least two out of eight categories.

Inaugural Arts at the Plaza

Tickets are on sale now for the inaugural Arts at the Plaza, being held April 27, 2024, at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center. The event will showcase student performances, grades K-12, across all genres including drama, chorus, band ensembles, and the visual arts.

Grovetown High's Kenny Curtis named 23-24 CCSD Officer of the Year

The annual Columbia County School District Police Officer of the Year recognition was awarded Thursday, February 15, 2024, to Grovetown High School Resource Officer Kenny Curtis. The award recognizes excellence among the School Resource Officers of the Columbia County School District for their dedication to keeping students and staff safe.

The feature highlights the district’s creation of a new and improved strategic plan, and provides an overview of the innovative work towards a vision to lead the nation in educational excellence where each student is engaged, enriched, and inspired.

Community celebrates grand opening of new JA Discovery Center of the CSRA

The center is a collaboration among Columbia County School District and neighboring Richmond County School System. The center will serve sixth and seventh graders from both school systems. The center simulates a real economy complete with CEO's, paychecks, voting, taxes, owning a business and more.

Class of 2023 earns 92.1% Graduation Rate

More than 92.1% of high school students from the Class of 2023, earned their high school diplomas. The rate is an increase of 1.7% from 2022 and continues to rank well above the state average. Congratulations, students and staff!

Grant award promotes healthy eating education for students

The Columbia County School District is excited to announce that Grovetown Elementary has been selected to receive a United States Department of Agriculture Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) Grant for the 2023-2024 school year.
