Summer School 2024
- Columbia County School District summer school will be conducted in person at Grovetown High School, May 30 - June 27, 2024
- Sessions for high school students will be held Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 2:20 p.m., and for middle school students from 7:30 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.
- Summer school courses are offered for middle school students who need to remediate for grade promotion.
- A middle school student may not take more than two classes in summer school.
- Summer school classes will depend upon the demand and availability of certified teachers.

Registration
- All Columbia County School District students must register through their zoned schools.
- Registration for all students will take place April 29 - May 24, 2024. Parents must complete registration online using the links below and must present payment before the student is scheduled for classes.

- All summer school courses will be in-person at Grovetown High School
- Summer School Dates: May 30 - June 27, 2024 (Monday-Thursday)
- Graduation: June 27, 2024, 5:00 p.m. at GTHS Gymnasium
- Schedule: First period: 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Second period: 9:40 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.
Third period:11:50 a.m.- 2:20 p.m. - Lunch A - 11:50 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Lunch B - 12:20 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.
- Summer school courses are offered for remediation only.
- Courses offered in summer school will depend upon the demand and availability of certified teachers.
Registration - April 29 - May 24, 2024
- Summer school registration for all students - April 29 - May 24, 2024
- All Columbia County School District students will register online using one of the following links: Evans High (Click Here); Greenbrier High (Click Here); Grovetown High (Click Here); Harlem High (Click Here); Lakeside High (Click Here).
- Classes are limited and registration is first-come, first served. Payments must be made at the time of registration.
- Only 3-course segments for a total of 1.5 Carnegie units may be taken in summer school.
- Classes are filled in the order of receipt of registration form and payment. Requests cannot be guaranteed.
- Summer school is not open to students outside of the Columbia County School District.
Tuition
- Currently enrolled Columbia County Students: $80 per ½ Carnegie Unit
- Tuition will not be refunded once summer school begins.
- Courses that do not meet the minimum enrollment will be canceled and refunds will be issued.
- Students dropping a course after June 3, 2024, will not receive a refund.

- MASTERCARD, VISA and DISCOVER CARD are accepted via RevTrak (Preferred Payment Option).

- Cash, money order, cashier’s check, or personal checks payable to the school of registration. Schools will set a date to drop off cash/check payments for summer school. Check the school website for the date to drop off cash/check payments for summer school.
Summer School Rules
- Identification - For identification purposes and media center usage, students must wear their home school identification badge at all times
- Transportation - For a schedule of depot locations and times, Click Here. Questions regarding bus transportation can be directed to the Department of Transportation at 706-541-2729, or via email at [email protected].
- Dress Code/Behavior - Summer School DOES have a dress code that is ENFORCED. Details are in the student handbook. Student expectations and consequences for behavior and dress are outlined in the CCSD Code of Conduct for all middle and high school students during summer school.
- Attendance - A MAXIMUM of two (2) days of absence per class is allowed; NO EXCEPTIONS. Prior approvals are not granted and exams are not given early. A student will be withdrawn with no refund on the third day of absence. Emergencies do arise, so plan accordingly.
- Lunch - Cafeteria Lunch is served during third-period for third-period students only. Concession Stand Style $1 - $5.
- Loitering - All students must leave campus after the conclusion of their last class.

- Classes have a maximum limit of 18 students per class.
- Summer school is only offered to students enrolled in a school in the Columbia County School District before the last day of the school year.
